Enhancing the representation of soil constraints in decision support systems to facilitate integrated soil management

Abstract

Decision support systems do not always represent all soil constraints. This presentation by Dr Keith Pembleton and Chloe Lai explains how the Soil CRC project is working to address this issue by demonstrating the different modelling approaches they used to improve the representation of soil constraints including phosphorus, nitrogen volatilisation and variable-rate application of gypsum to ameliorate sodicity in various decision support systems tools to better reliability of paddock-scale predictions and facilitate integrated and precision soil management.
